Visiting the Northwoods of Wisconsin is a treat everyone should experience. Expansive forests and glacial lakes provide an unforgettable vacation or a permanent change of lifestyle. A great choice for summer or winter activities includes the crystalline waters of the Lake Minocqua chain. The five popular lakes provide 5600 acres of sporting thrills and remote relaxation wrapped into one liquid package. Tourists enjoy the attraction of the Northwoods so much that they choose to purchase a space of their own instead of renting a cottage. Vacant lake property is becoming scarce in Wisconsin and many do not want the upkeep that a cabin presents. Because lakefront property is so scarce, developers chose to flank the bridge of Minocqua with two new condominium projects, which makes them a smart investment in any real estate market.
As you approach Minocqua from south Highway 51, you immediately see the Minocqua Lakes Condominium project developed in 2005 by Jeff Riegert of Madison, Wisconsin. This lakefront complex features two buildings with a golden cedar siding exterior accented with cultured river rock and full split/log detail for an authentic Northwoods design. Ease of access to the shoreline proves inviting and close to the numerous water activities of the Minocqua chain.
The two story floor plans are comfortable and offer everything required for vacation or full time living. The interior of each two or three bedroom plan is homey and warm for the cold Wisconsin winters. Solid hardwoods and hickory cabinetry raise rustic design to a contemporary level. Each unit includes a washer and dryer as well as attached garage. There are tons of trees and lots of grass so you get the true feel of country living right inside of town. After you enjoy a day excursion or a quick ride on the Jet Ski, you can use the common pier for easy boat docking. Each unit ranges from 1600 to 1800 square feet and price at $269K to $350K. Upon entering each unit, it’s obvious that affordability and value are attractive to the potential buyer. Living or vacationing on a premier lake in Wisconsin is an opportunity open to everyone in this condominium project. According to Mike Meyers, selling agent for the complex, “These condominiums are the best value in the Northwoods with all of the conveniences at your fingertips. Minocqua is a great community and living here provides the finest in resort living.”
In 2006, a premier condominium development on the Minocqua chain opened for viewing. The Lakeview is located north of the bridge as you approach town from the south. Wide open views with shopping and dining within walking distance places this condo in the middle of all the action, summer or winter. Rynders Design/Build of Minocqua, a leader in property development in the Northwoods, owns the Lakeview Condominium project. According to Tim Nampel, a Rynders Sales Associate for the complex, “The clientele for a luxury condominium requires peace of mind, privacy, security and no maintenance. Our buyers don’t want to worry about pipes freezing or leaving their property when they travel throughout the year”.
The condominium project contains eighteen exclusive three bedroom/two bath units for a private feeling, and each door opens to reveal a big presence inside. The units range in size from 2010 to 2300 square feet where open floor plans abound. Each plan is a single level design making them ideal for retirees and baby boomers. Secure elevators with intercom systems provide a much needed sense of security. “Construction upgrades are obvious at the Lakeview Condominiums and not hidden as in some development projects”, said Nampel. Every unit features rich laminate flooring, coved ceilings in bedrooms, stone gas fireplace with cedar mantle, maple wainscoting, built-in foyer bench and desk, and natural hardwood beams.
When you live on
“The exterior design has a Lake Tahoe feel instead of the traditional rustic Northwoods cabin appeal,” said Nampel. The sleek and private covered patios and balconies offer the best views and maintain a contemporary appearance. In many cases, private stairs lead directly down to the lake making the water even more accessible from each unit. There are also private boat slips available for an extra fee. The underground heated garage includes two parking spaces and an extra storage unit, which is important when living in a condominium. The Lakeview Condominiums range from $350K to $650K depending on the view and square footage. “This is the toast of the town, Nampel said, luxury condo living at it’s finest for miles around”.
According to the Town of Minocqua website, one of the meanings of the word “Minocqua” is an Ojibwe name meaning “fair maiden”. It’s clear that living in either one of these condominium complexes on the pristine fair maiden lake of the Minocqua chain is an easy choice to make. Owning a home on water is a dream for some, but no matter what your budget, condominiums provide stress-free vacationing or living for everyone.
